Although we had lost touch, Katy has always been an important part of my history. We met at the Greenham Common  peace camp and spent four happy years together. She fought side by side with me for custody of my children and for secure housing. I still find myself looking back through the photographs of family holidays at Cromer and the amazing sand constructions that she created with the boys. I remember when she started her first job as an outdoor clerk. I don't think either of us had any idea of the incredible career she would go on to have. She will be remembered by all of us with love.
